Main Responsibilities:- Prepare monthly management accounts with detailed commentary
- Develop and produce annual and quarterly budgets
- Support the Finance Director in maintaining strong cash flow
- Perform monthly reconciliations
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of year-end statutory annual accounts
- Liaise with internal and external auditors
- Continuously update processes and procedures
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders as a business partner
- Provide financial information and reports as required by the organisation
- Develop effective relationships with stakeholders and partners to support the organisation's development and operations
- Offer value-added financial advice and support to customers
- Be an integral member of the finance team
- Ensure the organisation has effective financial and management information systems and controls in place
The ideal candidate will have experience in an educational setting, although this is not essential. The role involves working 4 days a week in the office, with the option to work remotely during student/school holidays. The organisation offers a competitive pension scheme and other benefits. Some travel to nearby locations may be required, which will be expensed accordingly. A qualification in accounting (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) is desirable, but part-qualified candidates and those with QBE experience will also be considered.
