Job Title: Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Marshall Fleet Solutions (MFS). As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing transport refrigeration equipment, working remotely across various locations in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Servicing of vehicle powered and diesel engine road transport refrigeration units
  • Calibrating and completing F-Gas certification
  • Optimizing and maintaining engineer van stock to enhance service delivery
  • Ensuring relevant safety checks are carried out on the company van daily
  • Maintaining product and customer requirements knowledge to meet ISO9001 standards
  • Undertaking company training and self-development through the Certi-Tech certification process
  • Liaising with the central coordination team regarding job start and completion times, downtime, and overtime authorization
  • Completing all relevant paperwork and online requirements to maintain a high standard of customer interface
Requirements:
  • GCSE level or equivalent with at least 3 grade C's or above
  • Able to work on own initiative in a safe and professional manner
  • Mechanical knowledge or experience is preferable
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office), PDA use
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Numerate, literate, methodical, systematic
  • Attention to detail and target driven
  • Customer Service Skills & Relationship building skills
  • Punctuality and efficiency
Additional Requirements:
  • Clean UK driving licence
  • Extensive travel required, including overnight stays and working on customer sites
  • Physically fit to perform required tasks
  • Weekend and some alternative shift patterns may be required
