Kizuna Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Residential Care Manager to lead a residential children's home in Bradford, West Yorkshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, promoting a positive culture, and providing strong leadership to the care team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Manage all aspects of the residential children's home, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are maintained.
- Team Development: Lead, inspire, and manage a dedicated team of staff, providing supervision, guidance, and support.
- Care Planning: Develop and implement individual care plans and risk assessments for each child, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with children, families, external agencies, and professionals involved in their care.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and safeguarding procedures.
- Resource Management: Manage budgets, resources, and administrative tasks efficiently.
- Culture and Environment: Promote a positive and inclusive environment that values diversity and respects the rights of children and young people.
- Service Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of service delivery, implementing improvements as necessary.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Deputy or Registered Manager in a Children's Residential Home.
- Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification) or working towards.
- Knowledge: Sound knowledge of Ofsted legislation, regulations, and best practices in childcare.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment: A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Driving License: Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
