Key Responsibilities

As a member of our dynamic and supportive team, you will be expected to:

  • Operate independently while adhering to established policies and guidelines, ensuring compliance with professional standards.
  • Assess care requirements and develop, implement, and evaluate care plans for women and their infants throughout the stages of pregnancy, labor, and the postnatal period.
  • Provide mentorship and support to students, internationally trained midwives, and newly qualified midwives.

Experience and Knowledge

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of post-registration experience as a midwife.
  • Experience in providing care to low-risk women during antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods, as well as supporting high-risk women.
  • Experience in mentoring student midwives, new staff, and support staff in clinical settings.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Completion of recognized student assessor training and experience in the assessment process for student midwives.
