Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing groups of approximately 30 students, ensuring that the educational tasks assigned are delivered effectively and to a high standard. Your role will involve:
  • Managing registration and providing cover for lessons.
  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons with minimal preparation time, often at short notice.
  • Creating a positive learning environment by adhering to the school's behavior policies and promoting a respectful classroom atmosphere.
  • Encouraging student self-esteem through positive reinforcement and constructive feedback.
  • Assisting in the development and execution of support plans for students with special educational needs.

Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
  • A degree or a strong aspiration towards a teaching career.
  • Knowledge and interest in autism and related educational strategies.
  • Experience in managing challenging behaviors effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
