Job Title: Asbestos Removal Operatives

Salary: £13.00-£18.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule: 8-hour shift

Location: Southern England

Our client, a leading Construction and Demolition Contractor, is seeking a qualified and experienced Asbestos Removal Operative to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out removal works as instructed by supervisors and management.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Carry out removal works as instructed by supervisors and management.
  • Coordinate and communicate with other divisions of the business to ensure the smooth running of all contracts.
  • Perform required pre-use checks on equipment authorized to operate or use.
  • Ensure that plant tools and equipment are de-contaminated and transported in accordance with procedures prior to off-hiring or placing back in stores.
  • Assist in other areas of the business as and when required.

Requirements:

  • Full Asbestos Removal training.
  • Full Face Fits and Service Certificates.
  • Asbestos Lung function medical.
  • Experience of working on demolition/asbestos removal sites.
  • Good communication and organizational skills with the ability to work in a methodical and calm manner.
  • Ability to undertake a physically demanding role.
  • Ability to understand and follow instruction.
  • Ability to develop their understanding of their own safety and that of others.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to change and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Presentable.
  • Comfortable with confined spaces.
