Our Combination Product & Device (CPD) R&D Team
Based in Abbots Park, Runcorn, our CPD team focuses on developing innovative needle-based injection devices for delivering Teva's Small Molecule medications. Our portfolio encompasses various device technologies, including Pre-Filled Syringes (PFS), pen injectors, and autoinjectors, used to treat a diverse range of conditions such as anaphylaxis, migraine, and diabetes.
The Role: Device Development Scientist
We are seeking a highly motivated Device Development Scientist to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential laboratory and project support for the development of new and existing products within the CPD R&D Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute laboratory tests to generate reliable data for scientific investigations.
- Ensure all work adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory guidelines, including cGMP/GLP.
- Manage and maintain standard laboratory equipment, such as tensile/torsional force testers, microscopes, balances, and optical/probe CMMs.
- Analyze and interpret results, preparing reports and summarizing conclusions for senior colleagues.
- Utilize computer software and perform mathematical calculations for data analysis, graphing, and statistical reporting.
- Stay abreast of technical advancements relevant to the field, particularly those that enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Conduct thorough research on identified topics related to ongoing projects.
- Strictly adhere to safety procedures and conduct regular safety checks.
- Develop and maintain laboratory documentation and processes.
- Contribute to multiple projects across various device platforms.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a Medical Device/Pharmaceutical development environment is preferred.
- A strong understanding of laboratory techniques and procedures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
