The Opportunity

Prospero Teaching is partnering with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout the UK to provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with SEND.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Tutor with experience in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to provide one-to-one support in core subjects such as Maths, English, and Science. The ideal candidate will have a patient and creative approach, with the ability to think outside the box and adapt to the needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN in core subjects
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the needs of each student
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting students with SEN
  • Monitor and record student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with students with SEN or disengaged pupils
  • UK classroom teaching experience
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service
  • Two professional child-related references
