We are seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our team as a Functional Assessor, working with the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) to assess individuals and their disabilities or conditions that affect their work life.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough medical assessments of individuals, taking into account their medical history and performing physical examinations as necessary.
- Produce accurate and concise reports for the DWP, detailing the individual's work capability and any relevant medical information.
- Meet with individuals face-to-face and via telephone/video, demonstrating sensitivity, compassion, and excellent communication skills.
- Work independently, but as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team, with access to support and resources as needed.
- HCPC Registered Paramedic with a minimum of 12 months' post-registration experience within the past five years.
- Experience of working with adults in a range of clinical situations.
- Continuous Professional Development present on your CV.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and respond to a rapidly changing environment.
- IT skills and experience of using a range of software.
- Self-aware and focused on professional development.
- Honest and able to maintain integrity and customer confidentiality.
- Motivated to contribute to quality customer service, demonstrating empathy, respect, and sensitivity in assessment delivery.
