Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SEO Manager to join our Commerce team at The Telegraph. As an SEO Manager, you will play a key role in developing and implementing our SEO strategy across multiple areas of Commerce, including Sports, Travel, Betting, Affiliates, and Finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a product-led SEO and content strategy to increase revenue, traffic, and rankings.
  • Work closely with vertical leads to create seasonal content plans and optimize existing content for maximum traffic from high-intent search queries.
  • Manage and maintain internal linking and technical SEO processes, collaborating with other SEO teams to improve these.
  • Monitor and analyze data on ranking, visibility, traffic, and conversions to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Present competitor analysis reports to senior stakeholders and provide actionable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Own and manage SEO platforms such as Pi, monitoring competitor movements and category/total visibility.
  • Lead on real-time optimisations during major sale events, monitoring trends and performance in real-time and recommending improvements to pages or new content.

Requirements

  • Proven professional experience in SEO, with a focus on on-page and content strategy.
  • Affiliate and commercial SEO experience.
  • Experience delivering strategic presentations to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience using Google Search Console and other analytical tools and SEO platforms.
  • Numerate and fluent in aggregating and analyzing core campaign performance metrics.
  • Proficient in Google Sheets/Excel.
  • Interest in the latest SEO industry news and staying up-to-date with the latest updates and new releases.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and an inquisitive mind.
  • Good time management and prioritization skills.
