About the Role
Vine Medical Group is seeking a skilled Prescription Clerk to support our Pharmacy Team in providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Process repeat medication requests, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in data entry and patient communication.
- Expedite urgent prescriptions to maintain a safe and responsive service for patients.
- Coordinate and prepare repeat prescriptions, managing patient and pharmacy liaison, and ensuring accurate recording within clinical records.
- Manage pharmacy team emails and support daily Docman workflow.
- Communicate with patients regarding prescription queries and issues, and ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and clinicians to address medication queries and supply issues.
- Complete medicine management tasks as advised by GPs, and ensure patient queries are highlighted to relevant staff.
- Regularly review and remove expired prescriptions from patient records, ensuring data accuracy and security.
Requirements
- GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent.
- Experience in an administrative role, preferably in an NHS environment or similar patient-facing setting.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with a working knowledge of Microsoft 365.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Ability to work independently, use initiative, and determine own priorities.
- Understanding of confidentiality and data protection principles.
