Job Summary

Cedar Recruitment is currently partnering with a successful, growing Construction and Development Company to support with the recruitment of an Interim Finance Director based in the Sheffield Area.

This is a 12-month contract role, offering a competitive salary of £90k - £100k + benefits.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, your duties as Interim Finance Director will include:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Ensure the Finance team is adequately staffed and effectively managed, with clear job responsibilities and robust support in communication, training, and development.
  • Financial Modeling and Planning: Participate in feasibility modeling and assist in developing continuous growth plans through financial forecasting and planning.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Perform accurate and comprehensive forecasting and planning in accordance with regional requirements.
  • Financial Management: Oversee all financial management and reporting tasks.
  • Cash Management: Ensure adherence to the Group Accounts Manual for cash management practices.
  • Business Continuity Planning: Lead business continuity planning and disaster recovery initiatives.

Your Profile

You will ideally have:

  • A formal accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA/CIMA/CA).
  • Considerable post-qualification experience in a senior commercial accounting role.
  • Strong numerical skills with expertise in IT and financial analysis, along with the ability to interpret data and evaluate its impact on the business.
  • Effective team leader with a focus on managing, coaching, and developing team members to reach their full potential.
  • Availability to start immediately or at short notice.
