Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and financial accounts, including journal postings, accruals & prepayments, bank reconciliation, debtors and creditors control accounts.
  • Support the Financial Controller in preparing the monthly management accounts within 10 business days of month end.
  • Provide data, analysis and insight as requested.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintain a fixed asset register with accurate recording and reporting.
  • Ensure complete accuracy to minimize variance between annual management accounts and final statutory result.
  • Ensure an appropriate chart of accounts structure.
Requirements
  • Several years of previous experience as a management accountant in industry.
  • Significant experience of accounting software, including ideally SAGE 200.
  • Preferred to have an accounting qualification and strong performance in Maths educational results.
Skills and Characteristics
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiastic and positive.
  • In-depth understanding of accounting principles.
  • Ability to analyze and summarize complex information.
  • Ability to work alone and be a self-starter.
  • Must be able to successfully work to and within deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn and develop your skill set.
