Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Technical Advisor to join our team at TWI Limited. As a Technical Advisor, you will play a key role in supervising and delivering our existing programmes, influencing our technical direction, and contributing to commercial growth in the Materials Performance and Characterisation (MPC) Section of the Materials Performance and Integrity (MPI) Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and deliver existing programmes, ensuring high-quality work is completed to time and budget.
  • Influence technical direction and contribute to commercial growth in the MPC Section.
  • Provide expert advice and consultancy on metallic materials, welding, and materials manufacturing processes.
  • Lead failure investigations, corrosion and damage analysis, and process-microstructure-performance relationship studies.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to industrial challenges, ensuring cost-effectiveness and impartiality.
Requirements
  • At least 15 years of post-degree experience in materials engineering or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of metallic materials, welding, and materials manufacturing processes.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality work, leading teams, and influencing technical direction.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • International technology leadership experience, with a strong understanding of global industry trends and challenges.
Travel and Work Environment

This position may require regular travel within the UK and abroad. As a Technical Advisor, you will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, contributing to the success of TWI Limited and its clients.
