Humanities Instructor

Vetro Recruitment is on the lookout for a skilled and passionate Geography Educator to join a secondary educational institution within the Newport Local Education Authority. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in teaching Geography to students across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Sixth Form. Candidates with expertise in History or Religious Education may also be considered, provided they can demonstrate a robust understanding of Geography.

Position Overview:

• Role: Geography Educator
• Compensation: Minimum of £157.66 per day
• Location: Newport
• Schedule: Full or Part-time, Long-term - Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a classroom of learners across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Sixth Form
• Prepare the classroom environment and develop lesson plans as necessary
• Deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum
• Inspire students through both classroom and practical activities
• Adhere to the school's behavior management policies

Candidate Requirements:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in Geography education (exceptions may apply for NQTs)
• Possession of Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent international qualification
• Registration as a Teacher with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) - assistance available
• References from the past two years with no gaps
• Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
• Eligibility to work in the UK
