About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Midland Metro Alliance. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for leading, managing, and developing the commercial teams across your portfolio of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage commercial teams to ensure maximum commercial results
  • Raise commercial awareness and embed commercial focus and best practice across each project team
  • Assist on all contractual matters from inception to close out, including contract administration and risk management
  • Manage budgets and ensure accurate financial data and management reports are provided
  • Provide procurement support to ensure projects are delivered safely, timely, and at optimal quality
  • Negotiate and agree contractual disputes and final accounts within DFA levels
  • Undertake site measure queries and produce monthly CVR Reports
Requirements
  • Working in a finance or commercial function within the engineering or construction sector, with hands-on experience working for contractors as a QS on large civils or infrastructure projects
  • Working knowledge of finance systems and various forms of contract
  • Cost and budget administration, financial and commercial reporting, and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB)
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a QS with a proven track record in major projects
