Lookers Newcastle Nissan is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dealership Accountant to lead our finance team. You will play a crucial role in providing financial support across all areas of the business, ensuring accurate reporting and insightful analysis.
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will guide and mentor a team of account assistants and assistant accountants, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
This opportunity offers a chance to join a dynamic automotive industry leader and contribute to the success of our Nissan dealership. You'll gain valuable experience within a growing team, developing your skills and advancing your career in finance.
Responsibilities- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts adhering to group policies and procedures, ensuring timely submission according to reporting deadlines.
- Participate actively in monthly and quarterly business reviews, providing insightful financial analysis and recommendations.
- Analyze and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs) for the dealership, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Oversee and manage all financial information reporting for the dealership, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Develop and mentor the accounts team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
The ideal candidate possesses prior experience managing high-volume fleet accounts. While experience in the motor trade is preferred, it's not essential if you have a strong accounting background. You are a proactive, dynamic individual with meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Familiarity with Kerridge would be advantageous, although comprehensive training will be provided.
