Job Title: Accident and Emergency Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accident and Emergency Nurse to join our team at Glangwili General Hospital. As a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse on the Clinical Decisions Unit (CDU), you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and leading a team of healthcare professionals.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead the team in providing excellent clinical practice and day-to-day shift coordination
  • Undertake leadership and management responsibilities in support of the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse
  • Support and work in conjunction with the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse to ensure a high standard of care is delivered
  • Provide supervisory management and leadership skills in a clinical environment that is complex and pressurized
  • Work alongside the nursing team members, providing support to junior colleagues in the provision of direct care
  • Provide leadership and role modeling in the development and mentorship of new and other staff
  • Demonstrate the Health Board's values in everything that you do in the work environment
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (Part 1)
  • Current NMC Registration
  • Bachelor degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Pertinent postgraduate diploma (or equivalent development / experience and a willingness to undertake appropriate post graduate diploma level study)
  • Bronze IQT
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
  • Teaching qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Recognised management qualification
Language Skills:

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post. English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
