Job Summary:

Careers Plus is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused IT professional to join our team as a 2nd Line Support Engineer. As a key member of our managed services team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional IT support to our clients, ensuring their technical issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle managed services requests, prioritizing and resolving them effectively to meet service level agreements.
  • Address critical incidents such as server outages and respond to monitoring alerts raised by clients' infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support to clients, troubleshooting and resolving a wide range of IT issues.
  • Collaborate with other support engineers and technical teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Stay current with technology trends and adapt to new software, hardware, and troubleshooting techniques.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in technical support.
  • Server support experience.
  • Must own a car with a full UK driving license.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve IT issues.
  • Proficiency in system administration tasks, including user account management, group policy configurations, software installations, and basic network setups.
  • Experience with remote support tools, communication platforms, and ticketing systems.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong documentation skills to record support interactions, troubleshooting steps, and solutions.
  • Effective time management skills to handle multiple support requests and meet SLAs.
  • Ability to stay current with technology trends and adapt to new software, hardware, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Team collaboration skills to work with other support engineers and technical teams to resolve complex issues.
