Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Controller to join our team at Csm. As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing the company's credit control processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment from customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile customer disputes and ensure accurate payment processing
  • Manage credit control processes to minimize bad debt and optimize cash flow
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure accurate and timely invoicing
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Forecast and manage cash receipts, identifying and resolving any issues that may impact cash flow
  • Monitor and improve debtor days, working towards monthly targets
  • Verify and contribute to the management of cash within the business, providing accurate and up-to-date forecasts of upcoming cash requirements
  • Provide commercial input and review customer relationships to optimize working relationships
  • Ensure all month-end tasks are completed in line with procedures and timelines
  • Process customer payments, recording bank transfers, cheques, and credit card transactions in compliance with finance policies and procedures
  • Liaise with clients to ensure all required PO processes are adhered to
  • Produce weekly and monthly reports to inform the business of collections progress
  • Assist the team with ad-hoc duties and provide cover when required
  • Maintain the internal ticketing system for internal and external queries

Requirements

  • Proven experience in credit control and accounting, preferably in a Shared Service Centre environment
  • Excellent credit control track record and good accounting understanding
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Professional attitude and ability to communicate with people at all levels
  • Solutions-oriented, proactive, and able to take ownership of tasks
  • Strong customer focus and high numeracy skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and stakeholder management skills
