TPF Recruitment, a leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a reputable firm of chartered accountants in Kent. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a market-leading, chartered accountancy practice, where you will be offered extensive client exposure and the chance to progress in your career. You will be responsible for statutory accounts, management accounts, bookkeeping, VAT, and basic tax services to a range of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, from start-ups to larger and more complex groups. You will work amongst an experienced team of 15 accounts staff and be responsible for your own client portfolio, as well as overseeing juniors' work or managing a team based on your experience and aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of exciting and interesting clients
  • Prepare management accounts, statutory accounts, VAT returns, basic tax, and some advisory work and ad-hoc projects
  • Oversee the work of junior staff or manage a team of qualified and part-qualified staff
  • Ensure all clients receive efficient and commercially sound advice
  • Assist clients with software implementation and best practice reviews
Requirements:
  • Qualified accountant with experience of managing a portfolio of clients
  • Previous experience of working in an accounts and outsourcing capacity would be advantageous
  • Strong organisational skills and time management
  • Team player with good leadership qualities
  • Self-motivated/self-starter
  • Good IT skills and knowledge of emerging technologies
  • Good communication skills internally and with third parties
  • Strong technical capability in accounts and taxation
