Position Summary
The Senior Mechanical Estimator will play a crucial role within the pre-construction team, responsible for generating accurate and competitive estimates for a variety of projects. This includes commercial buildings, healthcare, educational facilities, and residential developments. The role involves close collaboration with project managers and stakeholders, utilizing advanced estimating software to create detailed cost plans and proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate precise and comprehensive estimates using the latest estimating software.
- Evaluate mechanical quotations for technical and commercial accuracy upon receipt.
- Work in tandem with procurement and operations teams throughout the tender and project planning phases.
- Engage in design development to evaluate buildability, materials, innovation, and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare technically sound estimates for Mechanical Engineering projects based on drawings and specifications.
- Deliver high-level pricing early in the tender process to identify cost-effective solutions.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary up to £95,000, depending on experience.
- 22 days of annual leave in addition to public holidays.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience as a Senior Mechanical Estimator with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role with a competing contractor.
- Expertise in using Trimble software for estimating purposes.
- Strong analytical capabilities for interpreting technical documents and drawings.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
