Civil Engineer

Location: Altrincham

Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 – Dependent On Experience

We are seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join our team at RGB Network, a reputable engineering consultancy based in Altrincham. Our company specializes in offering multi-disciplined engineering services and is looking to expand its civils team due to having won a large amount of projects over the summer.

About the Role:

As the Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role within the Civils team, contributing to the development of innovative design solutions on a variety of projects such as residential, commercial, and industrial. This is a full-time hybrid role, offering a blend of office and remote work flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Developing infrastructure designs and planning schemes to meet industry standards.
  2. Producing Masterplan concept drawings and general arrangements.
  3. Producing drainage, external works, cut and fill analysis of roads/highways designs on the projects above.
  4. Assisting in the preparation of contract documents and specifications.
  5. Conducting inspections, surveys, and site supervision.
  6. Mentoring junior staff and providing technical guidance.
  7. Developing design solutions aligned with client needs.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  2. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in infrastructure drainage or highways design.
  3. Experience with Section 278/38 agreements and water industry agreements such as section: 104, 106, 108.
  4. Familiarity with drainage standards and guidance.
  5. Knowledge of DMRB, Manual for Streets, and Highway standards.
  6. Experience in Micro Drainage or equivalent software.
  7. Desirable: Experience with Civil 3D software.
