Our Mission
ATG connects a multitude of auction houses, facilitating the listing of millions of items valued at over $15 billion annually, to buyers across more than 170 countries. Our platform generates over 100 million bids each year, empowering sellers to maximize the value of their offerings. We assist auctioneers in selling a diverse range of items, from historical artifacts to modern machinery, fine art to classic automobiles, through our eight innovative marketplaces that utilize advanced online auction technologies. Our aim is to enhance auctioneers' efficiency, support small businesses in reaching a broader audience, and provide bidders with a selection of unique items, all within a framework that promotes sustainable purchasing and growth in the circular economy.

ATG has successfully established a 'first mover advantage' in each market segment we serve, benefiting from significant network effects. As we attracted more sellers, we simultaneously drew in more buyers, creating a symbiotic relationship that has been crucial to our profitable expansion.
Hiring Overview
We are looking to expand our talented team by hiring a dynamic leader to oversee our Search, Taxonomy, and AI strategy across our marketplaces. The Head of Product for Search & AI will be responsible for defining and executing the vision and strategy for our Search and AI initiatives, guiding the delivery of our roadmap. This position will be based in our London office and will involve occasional travel to other offices.

We seek a passionate leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with a strong ability to inspire and manage teams. The ideal candidate will possess a commercial mindset, intellectual curiosity, and excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with executives, product managers, and cross-functional teams. A keen focus on performance metrics and alignment with company strategic goals is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and oversee the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Search, Taxonomy, and AI investments.
- Analyze market trends and identify necessary technology and skill investments to leverage AI and machine learning for enhanced customer value.
- Drive experimentation to increase bids per bidder and improve search outcomes across multiple marketplaces.
- Establish and monitor goals and KPIs that align with both short-term and long-term revenue objectives.
- Foster a results-oriented, commercially driven mindset within the Product team while delivering impactful solutions.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of customer behaviors, competitive landscape, and technological advancements to inform strategic decisions.
- Identify new investment opportunities and product enhancements.
- Collaborate with various departments, including product teams, marketing, sales, finance, and legal.
- Proactively address challenges and work collaboratively to resolve them.
- Lead product initiatives from conception to implementation, including strategy formulation, feature development, and release planning.
- Encourage a culture of rapid experimentation and data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications
- 10+ years of business experience, with a mix of startup and mid to large-scale company exposure.
- Extensive experience in delivering AI services, machine learning platforms, and generative AI products.
- Strong understanding of two-sided marketplaces.
- Proven track record in leading and managing product teams.
- Ability to engage with senior executives and present data-driven insights.
