Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Digital Model Developer to join our team at Envisage Recruitment Limited. As a Senior Digital Model Developer, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D digital models and supporting the Studio Design Team in delivering digital and physical design properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Studio Design Team: Collaborate with designers, clay modelling and studio engineering teams to develop 3D digital model data.
- Develop Advanced Algorithms: Create algorithms to support the surfacing team with CAD models and templates for commonly used scenarios.
- Prepare Renderings and Drawings: Generate renderings, technical drawings, and CAD models of design proposals in support of the Design Release Process.
- Generate High Integrity Data: Create data models suitable for transfer into other PLM systems (principally TCe/NX).
- Support Designers: Assist designers in generating 3D models from 2D proposals/verbal directions.
- Provide Technical Information: Offer technical information and support to senior management for design reviews.
- Carry Out Special Projects: Complete special projects as directed by management.
- Plan and Prioritise Workload: Plan and prioritize your own workload.
- Proactive Approach: Demonstrate a proactive approach to work and group interaction.
Requirements:
- Education: Educated to degree level or equivalent engineering-related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant automotive experience.
- Skills: Autodesk Alias Surface proficiency, OEM studio experience, Grasshopper or Dynamo experience, 2D presentation/animation ability, Class A surfacing expertise, working knowledge of component manufacturing tooling requirements, PhotoShop/photo editing software, RPT/milling, and clay model support understanding.

The ideal candidate will be a team player, highly motivated, results-oriented, and multi-tasking individual who works well under pressure.
