Join Our Team as a Safety Engineer

As a vital member of Leonardo's Safety and Environmental Management System team, your role will encompass:

  • Safety Analysis Expertise: Engage in comprehensive safety analysis throughout the entire system lifecycle, ensuring that all requirements are meticulously identified and integrated during system testing and delivery.
  • Conducting Safety Assessments: Participate actively in safety evaluations, ranging from Hazard Identification to the preparation of Safety Case Reports, employing methodologies such as Functional Failure Analysis and Fault Tree Analysis.
  • Environmental Compliance: Execute Environmental Impact Assessments to guarantee adherence to applicable regulations and standards.
  • Development of Safety Requirements: Formulate Safety Requirements and establish validation techniques to ensure safety standards are met.
  • Presenting Analysis Outcomes: Effectively communicate safety analysis results to Project Teams and Clients, ensuring clarity and understanding.
  • Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work collaboratively with various engineering disciplines to tackle intricate challenges and uphold product safety.
  • Enhancing Safety Management: Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Company Safety Management System, promoting a culture of safety.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in evaluating complex systems from a safety perspective.
  • Familiarity with the development of Safety Case Reports for intricate electronics or avionics systems.
  • A proactive approach with a strong desire to learn and adapt.
  • Capability to collaborate across multiple sub-system teams and effectively resolve issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities.
  • Experience in engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Eligibility to obtain necessary security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with tools such as CAMEO Systems Modeller, DOORS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
