Job Title: Site Engineer - Construction and Civil Engineering

Fawkes and Reece is seeking a highly skilled Site Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all engineering activities on a major highways redevelopment project in South Hampshire.

Job Summary:

The Site Engineer will be responsible for setting out roads, earthworks, and drainage using surveying equipment. They will also manage the direct workforce and subcontractors, ensuring that the highest health, safety, and environmental standards are met on site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setting out roads, earthworks, and drainage with surveying equipment (GPS & Robotic Total Stations)
  • Manage all engineering activity providing direction to the direct workforce and subcontractors
  • Quality control to ensure the standards are met in accordance to the design specifications
  • Assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management)
  • Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards are met on site adhering to the client's and business's requirements
  • Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification
  • Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations
  • Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD
