Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a SEN school in the North West. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and challenging behaviour.

About the Role:
  • Support pupils from KS2 to KS4 with their academic and personal development
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery, as well as providing one-to-one support to pupils
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Previous experience of working with children in the last 2 years
  • Excellent knowledge of the full curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Previous KS2, KS3 and KS4 experience
  • Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Two references working with children
  • Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
