At Raytheon UK, we are seeking a highly skilled Test Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the design, manufacture, verification, and validation of board level, sub-system, and system level test equipment.
Main Responsibilities:- Design and develop functional test equipment
- Lead and guide junior engineers in the design and quality of test equipment
- Document design specifications and implementation details, and participate in design reviews
- Collaborate with other team members to agree system designs, interfaces, and protocols
- Develop test hardware, test software, and procedures to prove the correct operation of hardware
- Provide support to manufacturing and answer product queries and resolve technical issues
- Monitor and report progress of test development to immediate supervisor and development team
- Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering or related subject
- Knowledge of analogue and digital electronic circuit design
- Ability to understand comprehensive technical design documentation
- Hardware troubleshooting skills
- Good knowledge of MS Office products
- Good communicator
- Test software design experience
- Test development experience in industry
- Use of Mentor Graphics schematic entry and PCB layout tools
- Understanding of common test architectures PXI/d LXI
- Measurement Uncertainty and its application in test equipment design and validation
- 25 days holiday (increasing to 27 days) + statutory public holidays
