We are seeking an experienced and skilled Ward Manager to lead the Chiltington Ward and Enhanced Surgical Care Unit (ESCU) at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management of the ward and unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and a safe working environment.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement evidence-based practice within the designated clinical area of expertise, in conjunction with the Matron.
- Ensure a supportive teaching and learning environment is in place, and that all staff are working to their required level of clinical and professional competence.
- Lead the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives, ensuring high levels of patient satisfaction and a safe environment.
- Act as a role model and ensure effective staff supervision within clinical practice, working with staff and patients in an advisory, teaching and support capacity.
- Provide specialist advice within the clinical area and expert advice within the speciality team.
