Geriatrician Physician

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Geriatrician to join our dynamic and forward-thinking Geriatric Medicine team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality, compassionate care for frail older people and will be able to drive improvement and engage others in the importance of this work.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide expert medical care to patients with complex geriatric needs
• Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and experience
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care
• Contribute to the development of clinical policies and guidelines
• Supervise and educate junior doctors and other healthcare professionals

Requirements

• Higher Specialist Training in Geriatric & General (Internal) Medicine with CCT & entry onto the Specialist Register
• Full registration with GMC and entry on the Specialist Register or entry expected within 6 Months
• Experience in the management of acutely ill patients and supervising junior doctors
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and fellow professionals
