About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Digital Producer to join our team at Historic Royal Palaces. As a key member of our Digital Engagement department, you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering high-quality digital content that showcases the history and significance of our six palaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the research, development, and production of engaging video content that brings our palaces' stories to life.
  • Manage the Historic Royal Palaces' YouTube channel, developing a content release schedule and collaborating with other teams to maximize audience reach and engagement.
  • Commission production companies and manage film shoots on location at our historic sites.
  • Develop and implement SEO best practices to enhance the visibility and engagement of our digital content.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of five years of professional experience in video and/or TV production.
  • Strong commissioning expertise, fresh ideas, and production skills.
  • Confidence in researching topics using diverse sources, including publications, image libraries, archives, and subject matter experts.
  • A passion for public history and creative spark to transform research into engaging video series.
  • Experience in commissioning a variety of factual formats that engage audiences in innovative ways.
  • A solid understanding of YouTube and how to engage audiences through the platform.
