Head of Asset Management

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager with experience in property and asset management to lead high-impact projects that focus on both service improvements and capital developments.
About the RoleAs a Housing and Assets Project Manager, you will take charge of multiple property-related projects, overseeing both capital developments and initiatives aimed at enhancing services. You will work closely with various teams within Housing and Property Services to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in line with organisational goals.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the management and delivery of property-related projects, with a focus on both capital development and service improvement initiatives.
- Assist the Housing and Property department in defining project goals, assessing resource needs, identifying risks, outlining benefits, and setting clear project timelines.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of all project phases.
- Monitor project budgets, ensuring all expenditures are tracked and remain within financial limits.
- Provide regular progress updates, addressing any project deviations, risks, or issues, and proposing effective solutions.
- Manage refurbishments and property asset-related projects, ensuring clear definition of requirements, appropriate cost allocation, and fulfilment of internal and external reporting responsibilities.
- Capture and track the progress of various service improvement activities across the Housing Division, ensuring efficient resource allocation and sequencing.
- Identify potential project risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, continuously assessing the effectiveness of risk management plans.
- Develop and maintain systems for project documentation and tracking to ensure transparency and streamlined reporting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of property management and construction, including acquisition, development, planned maintenance, refurbishment, and disposals.
- A recognised qualification in Project Management or strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Proven experience managing projects related to property and assets, particularly in areas of acquisition and development.
- Skilled in analysing performance data and taking action to drive project success.
- 37 hours per week
- Monday to Friday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Hybrid working available
