**About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Accounting Professional to join our team. As a Junior Accounting Professional, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of all transactions for designated finance areas.
Main Responsibilities:
- Process payments, invoices, income, and receipts, and enter data into accounting software or databases and file hard copies.
- Calculate and check to ensure payments, amounts, and records are correct.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Maintain and reconcile the company purchase and sales ledgers.
- Liaise with third-party providers, clients, and suppliers.
- Record any inconsistencies and investigate issues.
- Update and maintain procedural documentation.
- Provide advice and training to budget holders to ensure they fulfill their obligations.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as required.
- Some cashing up from branches, which is rotated between the team.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- IT literate, with excellent Excel skills due to large volumes of data.
- Previous experience of either working as an Accounts or Finance Assistant or an appetite to gain opportunity into a Finance/Accounts position would be a strong advantage to the role.
- Good communication and excellent customer service skills.
- Trustworthy and understanding of confidentiality issues.
- Professional, tactful, and friendly attitude.
