About Your Opportunity:

We are looking for a seasoned Elasticsearch Solutions Architect to become a vital part of our Data Platforms Infrastructure team. This position is crucial for the support and management of our Elastic Cloud Enterprise (ECE) framework, crafting and implementing Elastic solutions for Observability and Search, while upholding the highest standards of security, privacy, and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in Elasticsearch, a deep understanding of cloud architecture, and a proven history of overseeing and optimizing extensive Elastic deployments.

This role may require occasional on-call support. On-site presence required 4 days per week.

Your Responsibilities :

ECE Support and Maintenance:

Oversee, monitor, and maintain Elastic Cloud Enterprise (ECE) environments.

Conduct routine updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure peak performance and security.

Diagnose and resolve issues related to Elasticsearch clusters, indices, and ECE infrastructure.

Design and Deployment:

Create scalable and efficient Elasticsearch solutions for Observability and Search applications.

Implement best practices for data indexing, storage, and retrieval.

Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Security, Privacy, and Compliance:

Establish and enforce security protocols to safeguard Elasticsearch data, including access controls, encryption, and monitoring.

Ensure adherence to relevant data protection regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Performance Optimization:

Monitor and analyze the performance of Elasticsearch clusters and indices.

Enhance configurations and queries to boost performance and minimize latency.

Implement effective indexing strategies and shard allocation for balanced workloads.

Collaboration and Support:

Work alongside DevOps, Security, and Development teams to integrate Elasticsearch with other systems and applications.

Provide expert support and guidance to development teams on Elasticsearch-related initiatives.

Develop and maintain documentation, including architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

Stay informed about the latest features and updates in the Elasticsearch ecosystem.

Identify opportunities for automation and enhancement in Elasticsearch deployment and management processes.

Lead initiatives to incorporate new technologies and practices that improve the Elasticsearch platform.

Your Experience :

Extensive experience working with Elasticsearch, including ECE.

Strong understanding of Elasticsearch architecture, components, and APIs.

Experience with designing and deploying Elasticsearch for Observability and Search applications.

Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, Ansible).

Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Elasticsearch Certified Engineer or similar certifications.

Experience with other Elastic Stack components (e.g., Kibana, Logstash, Beats).

Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

This work is predominantly on client site and will vary between integrating with development and test teams, as well as taking on standalone tasks when needed.
