Your Role as a Domestic Assistant
As a Domestic Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our care home environment. You will ensure that all areas meet the highest standards set by company policy and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a comprehensive domestic cleaning service throughout the care home, adhering to established best practices.
- Implement rigorous hygienic work practices in all aspects of the care home environment.
- Maintain various floor surfaces, ensuring they are clean and protected.
- Clean furniture, furnishings, fixtures, and fittings to a high standard.
- Sanitize sanitary fixtures and fittings, replenishing necessary supplies.
- Remove refuse responsibly and efficiently.
- Clean vertical surfaces effectively without the use of access equipment.
- Contribute to the daily well-being of residents by assisting them in settling into their new environment.
- Ensure laundry services are efficient and effective, following established guidelines and expectations.
- Guarantee the safekeeping and return of resident's laundry and personal possessions, labeling items as directed.
- Prioritize Health and Safety, infection prevention and control, and fire safety within the laundry and wider care environment.
- Adhere to established operating systems in the laundry and collaborate with other staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient service.

- Contracted hours of 20 per week, spread over four days (08:00 AM - 13:00 PM) with alternate weekend shifts.
