About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Children's Residential Manager to join our team at Sterling Supported Living Ltd. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a small dedicated team to deliver exceptional care and guidance to children and young people in a residential setting.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working in a children's residential setting, with a strong understanding of Ofsted standards and regulations. You will be responsible for ensuring that our home is fully equipped with the right resources and a capable team that is trained, skilled, and qualified to operate safely and compliantly at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a small dedicated team to deliver exceptional care and guidance to children and young people
  • Ensure that our home is fully equipped with the right resources and a capable team that is trained, skilled, and qualified to operate safely and compliantly at all times
  • Engage and involve the team in the implementation of the home's statement of purpose to ensure everyone's valuable input is considered and respected
  • Ensure that the children under your care experience optimal physical and mental well-being, while being protected from harm
  • Lead the performance of the home, continuously evaluating reports to drive improvement, while ensuring strict adherence to all relevant legislations
Requirements
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management within Children's Residential Care (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Registered Children's Home Manager or Deputy Manager role in a children's residential setting
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Children's and Young People's Workforce
  • Experience of working under the regulatory body of Ofsted and managing challenging behaviour, including attachment and trauma
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills, with a proven track record of working and managing conflicting challenges
  • Right to work and live in the UK
  • Full Driving Licence
