POSITION SUMMARY

ArrowXL is currently seeking a Management Accountant to become a vital part of our finance team in Wigan. This role involves supporting the Head of Management Accounts and mentoring Assistant Management Accountants, providing an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a highly skilled finance team focused on professional growth.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific Duties:

  • Aid in the preparation of monthly management accounts adhering to strict deadlines
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations
  • Generate and post journal entries
  • Assist in maintaining the Fixed Asset Register
  • Perform variance analysis
  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns
  • Undertake Ad Hoc tasks as required

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Experience:

  • The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a multimillion-pound turnover organization and hold ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualifications or be part-qualified.

  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Strong time management skills with the capacity to handle competing priorities
  • Proficient in Excel (e.g., SUMIF, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IndexMatch)
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to conduct oneself professionally for the benefit of the organization while maintaining confidentiality
