Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Engineer to join our Surrey Wheelchair Service team. As a Rehabilitation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in assessing the mobility needs of adults and children with complex needs, prescribing manual and powered wheelchairs, and providing clinical and technical guidance to colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
\t- Assess the mobility needs of service users and prescribe appropriate wheelchairs and accessories.
\t - Supervise junior staff and provide clinical and technical guidance to colleagues.
\t - Work with clinical and operational colleagues to deliver high-quality service performance and achieve measured outcomes.
\t - Liaise with service user groups and stakeholders to facilitate joint working and improve service user outcomes.
\t - Contribute to the development of internal training resources and provide support for training programs.
\t - Undertake risk assessments and manage corresponding risks related to equipment provision, safeguarding, and infection control.
\t - Use analytical, engineering, and practical skills to solve problems for service users related to their mobility equipment.
\t - Hold a full current UK driving licence for a manual transmission vehicle and be willing to drive Ross Care vehicles as necessary.
\t - Be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
