Job Description

Rehabilitation Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Rehabilitation Engineer to join our team at Equals One Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the mobility needs of adults and children with complex needs, and prescribing manual and powered wheelchairs with associated posture management and pressure management accessories.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical and technical skills, with experience in working with patients with long-term or deteriorating medical conditions. They will also be proficient in the use of hand tools, including hand power tools, and be competent to operate appropriate workshop equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the mobility needs of adults and children with complex needs
  • Prescribe manual and powered wheelchairs with associated posture management and pressure management accessories
  • Supervise junior staff and provide clinical and technical guidance to other clinical and non-clinical colleagues
  • Work with clinical and operational colleagues to deliver contractual service performance of a high quality
  • Review and evaluate new and existing equipment

Requirements:

  • Registered as a Clinical Technologist or with the HCPC as a Clinical Scientist
  • Full current UK driving licence for a manual transmission vehicle
  • Willingness to drive company vehicles as necessary
