About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Provide CIC. As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive Specialist Speech and Language Therapy Service to our care groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Specialist assessment, differential diagnosis, clinical decision making, and provision of appropriate levels of intervention based on best practice.
  • Provide training to school staff and parents as required.
  • Adhere to quality guidelines and participate in service monitoring and clinical audit.
  • Adhere to agreed administrative procedures for the service, including the collection of statistical data.
  • Contribute to discussions on proposed local clinical guidelines, protocols, and care packages.
  • Independently maintain the operational running of delegated parts of the service.
  • Support/mentor Band 5 therapists and supervise assistants, volunteers, and students, and contribute to their development.
  • Fulfil statutory requirements towards other agencies, including the provision of complex written reports for the statutory assessment process.
  • Attend Speech and Language Therapy Department Team meetings, inter-disciplinary, and multi-disciplinary meetings.

Person Specification

  • Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent.
  • Registered member of Health Care Professions Council.
  • Registered Member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
  • Licence to Practice Registered Member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
  • Knowledge and adherence to local and national clinical guidelines.
  • Evidence of successful completion of specialist short courses and CPD activities.
