Recruitment Bunker is seeking a skilled Project Engineer for a prominent engineering design and development firm in Coventry. This organization has evolved into a comprehensive provider of turnkey solutions for its global clientele.
Role Summary:
The Project Engineer will report directly to the Production Director and will be essential in managing both internal and external projects within the Trim Shop. This role demands a proactive approach to ensure that all projects are executed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to company policies regarding quality, health, safety, and welfare.
- Oversee project budgets and collaborate with the Director to ensure cost efficiency.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high standards in Trim Shop operations.
- Work alongside senior management to generate precise Trim Shop quotations following established ordering processes.
- Prepare accurate Bills of Materials for all Trim Shop projects.
- Organize Trim Shop workloads in accordance with capacity and customer demands.
- Coordinate with Design, Development, and Manufacturing teams, as well as suppliers and customers, to ensure timely project delivery.
- Assist senior management in facilitating the efficient daily operations and sustainable growth of the Trim Shop.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an Automotive or Manufacturing setting, particularly as a Project Engineer in interiors/exteriors or in a Project Support/Management capacity.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with various departments, suppliers, and service providers.
- Strong time management abilities, capable of multitasking and prioritizing workloads.
- Proficient in project management software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant tools.
- Ability to produce reports and conduct meetings effectively.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with a methodical yet flexible approach to tasks.
- Must possess full rights to work in the UK without sponsorship.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in developing project guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to lead small teams.
- Engineering degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
