About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board.

The successful candidate will work within a dynamic healthcare team, providing support and guidance to individuals experiencing mental health concerns via telephone.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting brief clinical risk and mental health assessments, triage, and formulation. You will also work closely with our clinicians to de-escalate crisis situations and provide coaching to individuals in distress using evidence-based psychological interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct brief clinical risk and mental health assessments, triage, and formulation
  • Work via telephone to de-escalate crisis situations and provide coaching to individuals in distress
  • Collaborate with clinicians to provide support and guidance to individuals experiencing mental health concerns
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a registered healthcare professional with postgraduate work experience in providing assessments of common mental health difficulties. You will also need to have experience in relevant mental health practice and the application of evidence-based psychological therapies.
