About the Role

The Swansea Bay University Health Board is seeking a skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join their team. As a key member of the mental health 111/Single Point of Access team, you will play a vital role in providing support to individuals requiring urgent mental health assistance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide brief clinical risk and mental health assessments, triage, and formulation.
  • Work via telephone, using your experience to de-escalate crisis and coach individuals in distress using a range of brief psychological interventions.
  • Support the mental wellbeing and health of patients, promoting positive mental health and employing psychosocial techniques to increase mental wellbeing.

Requirements

  • Registered healthcare professional.
  • Post-graduate work providing assessment of common mental health difficulties.
  • Paid post-graduate work providing evidence-based treatment.
  • Experience in relevant mental health practice.
  • Application of evidence-based psychological therapies relevant to clinical service.
