Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Accountant to join our Freightliner European Rail Traffic Management (ERTMS) Project Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective financial management of the project, interfacing with multiple project disciplines and stakeholders to record, report, and claim project costs and revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Generate and reconcile cost reports from payroll, expense management, and travel management systems for submission.
  2. Collaborate with the Project Manager and Project Planner to manage and maintain the project forecast, Cost of Work Done, and Cost to Complete.
  3. Manage financial exercises for project planning and financial year planning, including annual budgets and long-term project costs.
  4. Develop new control and management processes, including Key Performance Indicators and Process Improvements.
  5. Provide financial services, including advice, reporting/analysis, guidance, and support to the Project Team.
  6. Contribute to financial input on an ad-hoc basis, such as corporate and external reports, and audits.
  7. Set up and manage project trackers.

Desirable Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have obtained or be working towards a recognized finance qualification, such as CIMA, ACA, ACCA, AAT, or equivalent.
