About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineering Lead to join our team at Hoare Lea. As a key member of our engineering consultancy, you will be responsible for leading electrical services design on large projects and overseeing overall MEP on small to medium-sized projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical services design on large projects, ensuring high-quality outputs and meeting client expectations.
  • Oversee overall MEP on small to medium-sized projects, managing project teams and ensuring timely completion.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of our engineering team, mentoring junior members and sharing expertise to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in business development activities, identifying new opportunities and contributing to the growth of our engineering consultancy.
Requirements
  • Chartered engineer or working towards, with a strong background in electrical design engineering.
  • Proven experience in leading electrical services design on large projects, with a track record of delivering high-quality outputs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong technical knowledge, with a deep understanding of building services engineering and interdisciplinary design.
  • Ability to work autonomously, with a high degree of self-motivation and a willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities, with a focus on delivering results-oriented solutions.
