Job Summary:
Major Recruitment Telford is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead the production activities of our client's factory. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing overall leadership, direction, and guidance to the production team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the production team to achieve production plan targets.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve safety, quality, cost, and delivery (SQCD) performance.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure alignment and achieve business objectives.
- Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Lead the implementation of 5S deployment and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify and resolve production-related problems and implement corrective action cycles.
- Provide cover for the Operations Manager as required.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to achieve business objectives.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing or production management.
- Proficient in computer programs such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong leadership and training abilities.
- Working knowledge of SME culture and practices.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing management, or similar.
- Lean Management and continuous improvement experience.
- Analytical problem-solving skills.
- Project Management ability.
