Arla Foods is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Leader to become a vital part of our Operations team at our cheese packaging facility.

Role Responsibilities

As a Manufacturing Operations Leader, you will oversee and manage our production processes to ensure optimal and effective manufacturing operations. Your leadership will be crucial in enhancing productivity, maintaining quality, and upholding safety standards while ensuring timely product delivery to meet market demands. Your strong decision-making abilities, attention to detail, and leadership skills will be essential for the success of our operations.

Key Duties Include:

  • Cultivating a positive and inclusive workplace, encouraging teamwork and transparent communication.
  • Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, fostering a safety-first culture among team members.
  • Planning, organizing, and coordinating production activities in line with company policies.
  • Developing production timelines and allocating resources to meet production goals and customer needs.
  • Monitoring and evaluating production processes to identify improvement opportunities and implement efficiency strategies.
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety, health, and environmental standards in the production area.
  • Leading and inspiring a team of production personnel, providing training and support to enhance their skills and productivity.
  • Collaborating with other departments, such as quality assurance and maintenance, to ensure seamless production flow and address any challenges.
  • Implementing and maintaining quality control protocols to ensure products meet established standards.
  • Analyzing production metrics and generating reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Staying informed about industry trends and advancements in production technology to recommend and apply innovative solutions.

Qualifications for Success

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience as a Manufacturing Operations Leader or in a comparable role, ideally within the food or beverage sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of production processes, quality assurance principles, and safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse workforce.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong analytical and numerical abilities, with the capacity to interpret production data and create insightful reports.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in production management software and MS Office applications.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • High enthusiasm and a positive approach to change and problem-solving.
