Job Summary
The Security Cell Reception Administration Officer plays a pivotal role in the control of entry to the Ministry of Defence Establishment. This position requires administrative support to enable reception access control to function effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for clerical work, communication, management of events, and the use of IT systems to support the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a range of routine activities that support the access control system, ensuring seamless integration with other departments.
- Coordinate maintenance requirements to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Work to tight timelines, communicating effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and external agencies as needed.
- Maintain communication with all departments within the Establishment and external agencies, providing timely updates and information.
- Process clearance applications, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and procedures.
- Administer SharePoint pages applicable to the department, liaising with information managers and service operations as required.
- Assist in decision-making, providing informed recommendations to senior management.
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Work in a flexible and dynamic manner to deliver at the required business pace, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Provide administrative support to the Officer Commanding (OC) and department, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
- Complete tasks as directed by the Garrison Security Officer, including working from a separate remote location outside the Establishment.
