About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Gordon Yates Ltd. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding our customer base in the Midlands region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to increase sales and revenue
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to pursue them
  • Manage the sales cycle from initial contact to closing deals
  • Collaborate with our marketing team to develop and implement sales and marketing campaigns
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance to identify areas for improvement
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven sales experience in a related industry, preferably with a focus on capital equipment and materials handling
  • Strong networking and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and develop strategies to pursue them
  • A positive and proactive approach to sales and business development
